Famously private bisexual singer-songwriter Frank Ocean has revealed that he is currently in a three-year long relationship.

Ocean made the revelation when he was asked in a GayLetter interview what his dating experiences have been like and if he uses dating apps.

“I don’t use dating apps,” Ocean told the publication. “I’ve been in a relationship for three years. I definitely wasn’t using dating apps before then. I don’t think I would use dating apps now.”

He continued: “I f*** with Marc Jacobs’ philosophy on that, so I wouldn’t rule it out, but it is a little hectic being a famous person on dating apps.”

Ocean did not reveal any more details about his romantic partner of three years in the interview.

The singer-songwriter is well-known for being more private than other celebrities and rarely shares details of his personal life with the public.

In the same interview, he revealed that he is making an effort “to do more” interviews—but said the idea that he is a recluse is “absurd” because he’s always “in the streets.”

“I’m outside all the time, I’m travelling the world all the time,” he said. “It’s funny to me that that’s the perception, but I understand what people mean by it in this new paradigm.”

Frank Ocean revealed in 2012 that his first love was a man

Ocean gained the attention of a huge number of LGBT+ people when he came out as bisexual in 2012 when he revealed that his first love was a man.

Shortly after that admission, Ocean accused Chris Brown of punching him and threatening to shoot him after a member of his entourage called Ocean a “f****t.”

In 2016, Ocean wrote a powerful essay on Tumblr after the Orlando nightclub shooting in which 49 LGBT+ people were killed.

In the essay, Ocean, said: “Many hate us and wish we didn’t exist. Many are annoyed by our wanting to be married like everyone else or use the correct restroom like everyone else. Many don’t see anything wrong with passing down the same old values that send thousands of kids into suicidal depression each year.”
