A queer couple has gone viral after they posted a video about their surprise engagement.

Leo Rogers, 22, posted on Twitter explaining how their partner Ruth Wilkins, 23, surprised them by proposing as they had dinner with friends at the Slug & Lettuce in Swansea, Wales.

Rogers, who identifies as non-binary trans masculine, had been planning to propose to Wilkins on her birthday at the restaurant—but their girlfriend got there first.

“So I threw my girlfriend a surprise birthday meal tonight and she surprised me right back by proposing to me…” wrote Rogers in the caption for the video, which was uploaded on April 4.
