Does Queer Eye star Karamo Brown already have children?

The Fab Five’s culture expert, who proposed to his partner of eight years, Ian Jordan, in May, has two sons.

Last year, Brown revealed that he only found out he had a child 10 years after their birth.

He told Parents.com that “my last girlfriend in high school–when I was 15–became pregnant with my child but did not tell me.”

A whole decade passed before he received a subpoena for child support. Brown, who said he felt “confused, sad, angry, and weirdly excited to be a dad,” took full custody of his son, Jason, straightaway.

Brown said he had to change the way he lived, which meant putting an end to his status as a “functioning addict.”

Brown explained: “It wasn’t until I became a dad that I asked myself how would I feel if my son had the same relationship with drugs and alcohol as I did.

“I quit and have never looked back.”

He found out that Jason had a half-brother called Chris, leading him to spend 10 years as a social worker while adopting his second son.

Brown said: “I took legal guardianship of Chris [in 2011]. Chris was nine at the time, and it has been an amazing journey.”

Fab Five member Karamo Brown loves his kids

In his interview with Stylist, Brown responded to a question about who or what was his greatest love by saying: “My kids.”

“They get on my nerves, don’t get me wrong. But if I’m sad or down, if I think of them, they make me so happy inside,” he added.

This fed into his view on the meaning of life, which he said was “to love yourself and love others.”

He also had kind words for Jordan, saying that his happy place was “in my bed, with my fiance’s leg wrapped over me.”

“We spent the first couple hours in the emergency room because he had a severe anxiety attack; he thought it was a heart attack.”

However, Brown did add that one thing he had never understood was “my fiance’s mind.”

In November, the TV star revealed that talking about his wedding sent Jordan to hospital.

Brown made the revelation at an event in New York, according to Page Six.

He said that at Thanksgiving, “we spent the first couple hours in the emergency room because he had a severe anxiety attack; he thought it was a heart attack.”

“They were like: ‘Everything is fine with you, it’s anxiety. What were you talking about before?’ and [Jordan] was like: ‘He’s been talking about the wedding!’”
