People are still questioning if Pat Sajak is gay even though it’s been five years since he ‘came out’ on Twitter.
But when we say Sajak came out, he didn’t actually come out as gay. Instead, the Wheel of Fortune host came out as heterosexual.
Yes, you heard that right, Sajak, 72, came out as straight on Twitter.

In the tweet, the host of Wheel of Fortune wrote: “Damn the career consequences! I’m hereby proclaiming my heterosexuality!”
He went on to say that his wife was “totally blindsided” by the news and that she’s in “therapy” as a result.
His coming out joke got a mix of responses from those who believed it to be funny, to others who thought it was wildly tasteless and in mockery of the LGBT community.
One user wrote: “seriously, mocking gay people? Is that all you got?”
Another reacted with: “Because I have a lot of gay friends that got dumped by their families and lost jobs when they came out. Just not funny.”

Some users were supportive of the Sajak, who’s been a host of the show since the early 1980s.
One said: “If Gays think they have to wear their sexuality on their sleeve.. why can’t Straights? Be proud of who you are.”
“Wondering if the President will call you on to congratulate you and the first lady will speak of how brave you are. Probably not,” tweeted another one of Sajak’s followers.
Indeed, while there’s much speculation about the motives behind his tweet and how it should’ve been treated, it did clear up one thing: Sajak is not gay.
Sajak is in a heterosexual marriage with Lesly Brown Sajak, a photographer, with whom he has a son and a daughter.
The host has conservative views and has written for a number of columns for the conservative magazine Human Events.
