The more porn you watch, the more likely you are to be bisexual

If you watch lots of porn, you’re much more likely to be bisexual, according to research by porn site xHamster.
The xHamster Report on Digital Sexuality found that people who visit xHamster multiple times per day were twice as likely to be bisexual compared to people who watch porn once a week.
Among men, 10.8 percent of respondents who watch porn once a week defined themselves as bisexual, while 27.2 percent of those who log on multiple times a day said they were bisexual.
There appears to be a direct correlation between how often xHamster viewers visit the site and how likely they were to be bisexual—and this is also true of straight people.

The more people log onto xHamster for porn, the less likely they are to be straight, according to the survey of more than 11,000 US-based users. There is no discernible trend for gay or lesbian people.
In a blog post, xHamster emphasised that “correlation is not causation.”
But, the report continued: “Bisexual and gay people both report greater frequency of viewing of porn, and a lower stigma associated with watching it.
“In fact, of all the groups measured, those who identify as bisexual were most likely to agree with the statement ‘porn is a healthy sexual outlet’ and least likely to disagree.”
Lesbian, gay and bisexual people watch more porn
Queer people also watch porn more often than straight people, according to the xHamster statistics.
The site found that 30 percent of straight visitors watch porn daily, compared to 40 percent of bisexual viewers and 41 percent of gay people.
Less than half of all women who visit xHamster are straight, showing a greater appetite for porn among queer women than their straight counterparts.
More than 22 percent of visitors define themselves as bisexual.

According to xHamster, just 67 percent of viewers define as straight.
In contrast, statistics released by polling company Gallup last year showed that 4.5 percent of people in the US defined as LGBT.
Porn site xHamster responds to bisexual statistics
The site wrote in its blog post that the results were surprising.
“Now, while we like to think of ourselves as enlightened bunch, we’re not a particularly bi site, let alone a gay one,” the post said.
“We’re just your (above) average tube site with primarily heterosexual content.”
However, the porn site was happy to embrace the results and its bisexual users.
“Is xHamster part of a plot to neuter red-blooded American men? Nah. But do we welcome our bisexual overlords? Yes!” the post added.
“They’re more progressive, more tolerant, and have a more positive outlook on sexuality. Plus they love EVERYTHING WE DO.”
