Indya Moore, the star of groundbreaking trans TV show Pose, has come out as poly.

The 23-year-old trans actress, who plays Angel Evangelista in Pose, tweeted on Thursday (December 27): “So, I realised I’m poly ‍♂️.”

Moore did not clarify whether she meant polysexual, which is a term for someone who is attracted to multiple genders, or polyamorous, which means a desire to have multiple intimate relationships at once.

Indya Moore joins growing list of poly celebrities

More and more people seem to be feeling comfortable enough to publicly talk about being poly.

Earlier this year, US singer Kehlani revealed that she was poly while coming out as queer, telling her followers on Twitter: “i’m queer. not bi, not straight. i’m attracted to women, men, REALLY attracted to queer men, non binary people, intersex people, trans people.

“lil poly pansexual papi hello good morning. does that answer your questions? ✨”

In March, polyamorous couple Nico Tortorella and Bethany Meyers tied the knot in a stunning ceremony which they described as “genderbending” and “androgynous,” before opening up about their relationship.

And last month, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald star Ezra Miller revealed that he was part of a polyamorous group of lovers called a “polyamorous molecule”—or “polycule” for short.

He said the polyamorous group included members of his ‘genrequeer’ band, Sons of an Illustrious Father, and others who fit in with the rest of the polycule’s vibe.

However, just days later, Miller rejected all labels, including the term “polyamorous,” and warned that seeking an identity can cost you “your life, your safety and your soul.”

He said it was “fascinating that we all naturally see to limit each other for the ease of our own minds,” condemning this inclination to reduce people “to the lowest common denominator” by attaching labels to them.
