Ruby Rose’s Batwoman is here—and fans are shipping her with Supergirl

Ruby Rose has appeared as lesbian superhero Batwoman for the first time—and not only do fans love her, but they also want her to get together with Supergirl.
The Australian actress made her debut as Kate Kane on Monday (December 10) in The CW’s “Elseworlds” crossover event and fans are convinced that her two scenes with Supergirl included heavy flirting.
After Kate bails out The Flash‘s Barry Allen, Arrow‘s Oliver Queen and Supergirl’s alter ego Kara Danvers, Kara tells Batman’s cousin that she has “500 fewer tattoos” than other billionaires she’s met.

“Those are the ones that you can see,” quips Kate, making Kara laugh and look flustered before responding unconvincingly: “It’s a mystery.”
In the next scene between the two, talking as their superhero personas, Kara reveals that she knows Kate is Batwoman, explaining she has “X-ray vision” before adding with a smile: “You really do have a lot of tattoos.”
After a pause, she continues: “You know, it’s such a shame I have to go, because I feel like we would make a good team,” to which Kate replies: “World’s finest.”
Fans ship Ruby Rose’s Batwoman with Supergirl
The first interactions between Batwoman and Supergirl led countless viewers to express the belief that the superhero duo should make their relationship a romantic one.
One wrote on Twitter: “KATE FLIRTING WITH KARA. KARA’S GAY PANIC. KARA HANGING BACK TO TALK TO KATE BEFORE SHE LEAVES. KARA ALSO ADMITTING SHE’S X-RAYED KATE’S BODY AND SEEN ALL HER TATTOOS.

Another delighted fan tweeted: “So let‘s recap real quick… Kate flirted w Kara by talking about the tattoos covered by her clothes which made Kara giggle and she x-ray visioned Kate‘s entire body later on.
“And then she goes like ‘It‘s such a shame I have to go, I think we would’ve made a great team’ I- ” the tweeter continued, attaching a meme of a woman on the phone with the subtitle: “Hello? Are you a lesbian?”

Supergirl’s x-ray vision makes sparks fly with Ruby Rose’s Batwoman
Supergirl’s line stating that she used her X-ray vision to see all of Batwoman’s tattoos prompted an especially excited reaction. One commenter said: “did they just basically say that kara can see kate naked with her X-ray vision bc that’s gay.”
Others piled on with the view that this scene was proof the Girl of Steel couldn’t be straight, with a fan who said she was getting the derisive response: “Kara just x-rayed Kate Kanes ENTIRE body to check out her tattoos try again mate.”
Another person wrote: “Kara really used her x-ray vision and saw Kate’s hidden tattoos y’all …that’s gay Kara. Kate & Kara flirted…and I’m suppose to believe Kara is straight? Nah.”
And a similarly minded viewer tweeted: “Okay but… are we seriously still supposed to believe Kara is straight after she literally takes the bait and x-rays Kate Kane for naughty tattoos? I think not.”
