Woman tricks Trump supporters into crowdfunding college fees

A young black woman reportedly tricked Republicans into crowdfunding more than $100,000 towards her college fees, after posing as a Donald Trump supporter.

The woman, tweeting under the handle @chckpeas, posted on Twitter about her supposed support for the Republican Party on October 27—only to later blast Trump as “homophobic” and “transphobic” after raising the money.

“I will not hide any longer,” she first wrote, “The left has made us feel as if us black republicans should hide!! but not anymore!! #BlacksForTrump #WalkAway #maga.”

After her tweet went viral, she claimed that her parents were no longer financially supporting her because of her post and called for donations towards her college fees.

She also changed her Twitter name to “reformed republican.”

“Thank you all so much for your overwhelming support,” she wrote.

“After seeing this tweet my parents cut me off and refuse to pay my university tuition. So if you can find it in your hearts to help this young, black republican pay for school it would be appreciated .”

She included a link to a GoFundMe page, which has since been taken down.

It’s not clear exactly how much the Twitter user received from her crowdfunding page, but one news report suggested that it could be more than $100,000.

She later revealed that she is, in fact, anti-Trump. (chckpeas/Twitter)

“Girl i can afford my tuition, rent, and 17 iphones now,” the woman later posted in a tweet.

After reaping in the benefits of her fake support for the Republicans, @chckpeas revealed that she is anti-Trump, highlighting how the US president has discriminated against minority groups.

“Trump is a racist, homophobic, transphobic, bigot AND YOU THINK MY BLACK ASS WOULD SUPPORT THAT ROTTING CARROT?? ridiculous,” she posted.

“Any black person can put on that ugly ass hat and say #MAGA and yall will instantly be up their ass cuz you wanna prove so hard you’re not racist.”

In a later tweet, she continued: “But you are [racists]. in the policies that you choose to vote in, effectively still separating us. politicians work for the rich but you still think they’re in your pocket?? HA!! it’s such a troll-y tweet come on guys. get a f*ckin grip [sic].”

In another tweet, the user suggested she had bought an iPhone Xs 256GB with the donated money.

“America surely is great ,” she wrote.

Social media users praised  @chckpeas for her stunt.

“You’re actually my hero please please slide into my dms and teach me your scamming ways ,” one person wrote.

Another asked: “Sis could u get me a new phone? I’m stuck with this bum ass Android. Help a sister out “
