Rapper Ja Rule accused of transphobia in 50 Cent feud

American rapper Ja Rule has been accused of transphobia after he photoshopped images of 50 Cent wearing a wig and make-up.

Ja Rule posted the photos on social media after 50 Cent bought 200 seats to the 42-year old’s show, so that part of the seating would appear empty.

The two rappers have been feuding for nearly 20 years.

On Sunday (October 28), 50 Cent posted a photo of himself surrounded by empty seats at a Ja Rule show.

He wrote in the caption: “What a show, I mean just f***ing great. Do it again my kid went to the restroom. LOL #bellator #lecheminduroi.”

Ja Rule responded by posting three photos of 50 Cent either photoshopped as a woman or portrayed in a way that negatively suggested he had sex with trans women.

The rapper has since deleted two of the photos on Instagram, following backlash, but the image on Twitter is still online.

Ja Rule posted alongside the photoshopped image on Twitter: “This beef is a JOKE to everyone except this lil ape looking b***h… she mad mad!!! ”

Social media users were quick to criticise Ja Rule over the images.

“So Ja Rule got back at 50 by ….. making jokes about the trans community,” one person wrote on Twitter.

Another said: “Soooo 50 Cent buys 200 Ja Rule tickets for $15 each–by all accounts a hilarious prank–and Ja responds with kindergarten transphobic nonsense.”

And one Twitter user claimed that they were forced to delete a post singling out Ja Rule for transphobia after receiving abuse from the rapper’s fans.

“I’m being bullied by @Ruleyork fans on Instagram send help all I did was try to call out the dude for his transphobic post lmao,” the user posted in a thread.

They added: “I had to delete my comment about transphobia not being okay because ppl were telling me to kill myself and just take a joke lmao hard yikes.

“Alert you’re allowed to/ should call out ppl even if you like them! A concept!”

Ja Rule has not apologised over the incident.

In January, Ja Rule was accused of being homophobic after he claimed 50 Cent had sex with other men in a derogative way.

“Now I know why @50cent named his show POWER… #Powerbottom #ticklebooty,” he wrote at the time.
