Kehlani also found the time to respond to apparent confusion from some people who couldn’t understand how a queer woman could get pregnant.

She responded by saying: “Imagine thinking queer means lesbian and either means unable to have babies.”

Kehlani rang into Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio podcast on Beats 1 following the announcement, reportedly saying she was “three weeks [along] when I found out I was pregnant,” and that she hasn’t chosen a name for the baby yet. “I’m sure if we decide on something we will break it right away,” she told the rapper.
