The Bi Life on E! is the first reality dating show to have an exclusively bisexual focus, but who is cast member Ryan Cleary?
Originally from Manchester but now living in London, 27-year-old Ryan is a fitness influencer who some viewers may recognise from a previous reality TV show appearance.
Ryan also took part in ITV’s Survival of the Fittest this year, a show from the makers of Love Island that pit male and female contestants against one another in a series of challenges.
Ryan has had relationships with both men and women in the past, but says he’s found his relationships with girls haven’t been as strong as those he’s had with guys. He generally finds girls to be more loyal and loving, but thinks that men are much wilder.

Whilst he’s hoping to enjoy himself by taking part in The Bi Life – Ryan describes his love life as being “hectic, wild and fun” – there are also more serious reasons for his participation in the show. He feels that being bisexual is frequently underrepresented on television and in real life. He wanted to join The Bi Life because, “I think it’s good to be able to be yourself and show who you are and not be afraid to do that.”

Among other common misconceptions about bisexuality, Ryan has found that people perceive bisexuals to be greedy or indecisive. It’s not uncommon for people to think that bisexuals do not know what they want or that they actually like one sex more than another.
He says these are some of the preconceptions that he has experienced from other people about himself, but when it comes to love, he has said that if he falls for somebody who is male or female then his future will go from there.
