The cast of the UK’s very first bisexual dating show The Bi Life has finally been revealed.

The reality TV series, hosted by drag queen Courtney Act, will premiere on 25 October at 9pm on E! UK and Ireland.

The ten-part dating series follows a group of bisexual or questioning British singletons on an adventure to find love in Spain.

On the show, the cast live together, party together and help each other navigate the rocky road of dating.

So who are the contestants? Carmen Clarke, a 21-year-old model, who says she “could talk to a brick wall for two hours and get to know it”.

Also taking part in The Bi Life: Daisie Thilwind, a 26-year-old hopeless romantic from Manchester, Irene Ellis, a “self-confessed nerd” from London, Welsh teacher Kyle McGovern, 27-year-old free spirit Leonnie Cavill, and make-up artist Mariella Amodeo.

Also looking for love is influencer agent Matt Brindley, Michael Gunning, a 24-year-old international swimmer who competed for Great Britain, and Ryan Cleary, a fitness influencer from London.

Ahead of the premiere, Courtney Act, otherwise known as Shane Jenek, said: “As if this summer hasn’t been hot enough, we decided to crank it up another notch with The Bi Life on E! It’s high time there was a dating show for the large number of young people today, like me, who are attracted to more than one gender.

“In 2018 we know that sexuality is fluid and sharing the stories and experiences, the laughter and the love making, of young bi people is so important.

Courtney Act will host the show (E!)

“So get ready to see the true stories of bisexual singles, who are the largest part of the LGBTQ+ community, but the least known.”

Act says viewers can expect real people having real life dating experiences and the challenges that come with it.

“Bisexual people suffer most from lack of visibility. They’re the largest percentage of the LGBTQ+ community and the least visible and least represented,” Act added.

“In the visibility that The Bi Life is delivering, it might not be the most activist-y or advocate-y but there’s a group of people having genuine experiences. That is an interesting and wonderful thing to watch.”
