Will Spider-Man come to Xbox One, or just PS4?

Spider-Man fans are loving the new Spidey game released by Marvel and Insomniac Games on September 7.

The new release has already logged a positive 87 percent rating on Metacritic.

But some fans are disappointed that the game was not released on Xbox One, as it was released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Will it join the Microsoft platform in future?

Will Spider-Man be released on Xbox One?

The Insomniac Games release is exclusive to PS4 and it doesn’t look like there’s any plans for the game to hit Xbox.

In April, Insomniac replied to one hopeful fan: “Never.”

So, Spider-Man is only available on PS4. PS4’s parent company, Sony, also owns the rights to the Spider-Man film franchise.

But Spider-Man, the game, that is, bears no resemblance to the Tom Holland-fronted Spidey films (produced in partnership with Disney’s Marvel Studios).

The game features a completely original storyline.

Will other Marvel games be on Xbox One?

You might not be able to play Spider-Man, but Square Enix is working on an Avengers video game that will presumably be multi-platform.

What about Xbox One users?

Though you may not be able to play Spider-Man on Xbox One, GameSpot reports that there’s another game by the Spidey developers, Insomniac, that looks and feels similar to the new release.

Insomniac Games’ Sunset Overdrive is described as a “colorful open-world game that, like Spider-Man, makes moving through the environment a frictionless pleasure.”

Is Spider-Man gay friendly?

Yes!

Queer fans have praised the new Spidey game for including rainbow flags in its graphics.

Spidey fans have been tweeting their surprise and joy at seeing the city full of rainbow flags in the new game.

Another gamer, Chris Hatfield tweeted that he had seen “several rainbow flags” as well as “an awesome pride wall” in the game.
