Halsey savages anti-gay protesters who invade her concerts

Halsey has slammed people who come to her concerts and try to convince queer fans to renounce their identities.
The bisexual pop star has repeatedly spoken out about her sexuality and harmful myths around being bi.
She has also released multiple bi love songs, including “Bad At Love” and “Strangers,” with openly bi former Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui.

Yesterday (August 27), the 23-year-old US singer took to Twitter to lash out at people who promote anti-LGBT+ views at her gigs.
She wrote: “people bring anti-LGBT religious propaganda to my concerts a lot and it’s like, I feel like I’ve done enough good in the world that God’s gonna forgive me for eating some pussy.”
The tweet went viral, even for Halsey, attracting more than 100,000 retweets and likes.

In response, one fan said: “or like when people leave during strangers…….LIKE WHY THE F**K WOULD U COME TO UR SHOW.”
She quote-tweeted this post, adding: “I am happy when they leave. My show is a safe place.
“Plus they’re outnumbered lol.”

The tidal wave of comments in support of the original tweet was a testament to that fact, with many hailing it as Halsey “best ever” tweet.
One said: “please let this go down on the list of your most iconic tweets (pun intended),” while another wrote: “THIS MADE ME CHOKE.”

In January, Halsey opened up about three sexual assaults she had suffered, before delivering a blistering attack on President Donald Trump for his alleged assaults and apathy.
Speaking to thousands of protesters at the Women’s March in New York City, Halsey described three sexual assaults that she has experienced, as well as how her friend was raped.

She told the crowd that the first assault happened in 2002, when she could not have been more than eight years old.
Halsey name-checked women who have come forward as part of the #MeToo movement to speak out about their experiences with sexual assault, including Ashley Judd, Simone Biles and Lady Gaga, before taking aim at Trump.

She told the crowd that when it came to those opening up about sexual misconduct, “it’s Olympians and a medical resident and not one f**king word from the man who is President!”
Last week, the singer snubbed the MTV VMAs, later explaining: “I directed all my own music videos this album just to have @MTV ‘#wcw’ me to death and not nominate me for anything so it didn’t feel right to go.”
