Journalist Katie Hopkins sided with anti-trans feminist groups, who are plastering “women don’t have penises” stickers around cities across the UK – but she’s been slammed by India Willoughby.

Hopkins sided with the trans-exclusionary radical feminists (TERFs) on Twitter, who have been using the hashtag “#StickerWoman” as part of their sticker vandalism campaign.

A number of phallus-shaped stickers – carrying the phrase “women don’t have penises” – have been seen in cities across the UK, including London, Liverpool, and Brighton.

“I stand with #StickerWoman Women do not have penises,” Hopkins posted on Twitter.

She also re-tweeted a post by a mother who was concerned about her trans son having top surgery, adding: “It is often mums who suffer when society experiments with kids’ minds #StickerWoman.”

However, journalist and 2018 Celebrity Big Brother contestant India Willoughby criticised Hopkins’ remarks, telling PinkNews that the 43-year old is on a “downward spiral.”

“I think she jumps on trans [issues] because she knows it’s the only dog in town that you are now allowed to kick and actually get away with it. She knows it’s an emotive subject and, as usual, she’s not interested in the facts or researching. She’s just interested in getting her big metaphorical hammer and bashing people on the knee,” Willoughby told PinkNews.

She added: “And she’s talking absolute bollocks. It’s terrible. Obviously trans kids know as much as Katie Hopkins did when she was a kid, who she was. And no amount of telling Katie Hopkins that she was really a boy would have dissuaded her and it’s the same thing for people who are trans. You just know. There is no brainwashing going on.”

Willoughby continued: “Katie Hopkins is just in it to get a reaction because her career is failing. And saying trans people – whatever shade of trans you are – are inherently a threat is just rubbish…it’s just not true.”

On Sunday (August 19),  Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson has pledged to remove anti-trans “women don’t have penises” stickers, with the support of police, which have been seen in the Crosby Beach area.

It came after trans campaigners recently criticised anti-trans “bigots” when a number of phallus-shaped “women don’t have penises” stickers were found across London, including on Stonewall’s office building.
