Hayley Kiyoko, Frankie Grande and Snooki wore rainbow outfits to the MTV VMAs—and we can’t get enough

Frankie Grande, Jersey Shore‘s Snooki and Hayley Kiyoko all donned rainbow-themed outfits for the 2018 MTV Music Video Awards, injecting some welcome colour into the glitzy, New York-based event.

Ariana Grande’s half-brother Frankie, who’s known for his glam rock looks, teamed a sequinned multi-coloured bomber jacket with a plain, white tee, black shorts and sparkly trainers, finishing the look off with a silver necklace and his signature, blonde quiff.

Meanwhile, Snooki—whose real name is Nicole LaValle—wore a shimmery, halter-neck jumpsuit and matching shawl as she posed alongside friend and fellow reality TV star Jennifer “JWoww” Farley.

Fashion entrepreneur-turned-actor Jackie Christie wore a similar rainbow jacket draped over her shoulders while paparazzi snapped their shots.

Unlike Grande and LaValle, Kiyoko – or as she’s known to her fans, “Lesbian Jesus”—ditched the sparkle and instead, opted for a silky two-piece.

Her flared, high-waisted trousers featured stripes towards the top but faded into a photograph of a ski jumper. Her top appeared sweater-like and boasted a bright MTV logo.

The look, which she wore to Republic Records after-party, was created by London designer Fyodor Golan.

During the televised ceremony, Kiyoko made sure she’d remember her first visit to the Radio City Music Hall by performing her queer anthem “Curious.”

On the night, she also won Push Artist of the Year, beating out the likes of Noah Cyrus, SZA, Grace VanderWaal and Sigrid.

Reacting to her win, the 27-year-old said: “This validates any queer woman of color that you can follow your dream and I love my fans! My fans gave this to us! We did it, 20GayTeen! 2018!”

While he wasn’t wearing rainbow, Love & Hip Hop Miami star Bobby Lytes still made an impression on the pink carpet. Facing his back towards flashing cameras, he made sure the press caught a glimpse at the back of his bright blue top that read “Make America Gay Again.”

Later, he explained the look on his Instagram page, writing: “This message is not what it may seem! I meant to spread a message of love and positivity!!! Gay meaning: HAPPY! Let’s get our country back to a place of love, happiness, and acceptance!!! Regardless of where you are from!”
