Frankie Grande is going to be ‘the gay of honour’ at sister Ariana and Pete Davidson’s wedding

Frankie Grande has revealed he’s “so excited” for the wedding of his sister Ariana Grande and Saturday Night Live actor Pete Davidson, and that he’s set to be the “gay of honour.”

Speaking from the pink carpet at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday (August 20), the former Big Brother contestant Grande told Entertainment Tonight: “It’s a very exciting, wonderful, joyous celebration. It’s not stressful like being locked in a house with 16 house guests!”

He went on to state that he was thrilled to welcome Davidson to the family and that he’s sure, whatever the ceremony might entail, that it’ll be wonderful.

“I’m definitely in the bridal party,” he enthused, continuing to talk about his younger half-sibling tying the knot in the near future. “We’re sorting out everything as of now, but I’ll definitely be the ‘gay of honour.'”

Grande also told Variety he wants the wedding to reflect the “God is a Woman” singer as closely “humanly possible.”

“So lots of lavender tones, lots of clouds,” he added.

This isn’t the first time Grande has gushed about his sister’s relationship. Back in June, the 35-year-old performer talked to the same news outlet about Ariana and Davidson’s recent engagement announcement.

“Oh, my God, I’m so happy for my sister,” Grande said at Broadway Sings for Pride’s Revolution Annual Charity Concert in New York City. “It’s a big year for her.

“As a family, we’re in a really good place. It’s a time to celebrate. It’s joy, it’s happiness—it’s the Grandes’ year. Look out for us ‘cause we’ll be everywhere!’”

Now, just a few months on from those comments, it looks like Grande was right. Ariana’s fourth album, Sweetener, is believed to be on track to soon reach the No. 1 spot on both the Official UK Chart and the Billboard 200 chart, according to industry forecasters.

Back in May, Ariana told The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon that the album is “about bringing light to a situation or to someone’s life or somebody else who brings light to your life or sweetening the situation.”

In its first seven days of sales—the album was released worldwide on August 17—it is estimated to sell around 110-125,000 in the US alone, marking her biggest opening week to date.

Ariana’s relationship with Davidson also seems to be going from strength to strength as the loved-up couple were seen kissing and laughing on the VMAs pink carpet. She wore a metallic, peplum-style mini-dress while Davidson donned an over-sized, white sweatshirt and black cargo trousers.

The pair’s whirlwind romance has proved a hot topic since it was revealed that Davidson had popped the question just a few weeks after they had started dating. The twosome first met in March 2016, when Ariana guest-hosted SNL but at the time, she was dating rapper Mac Miller and Davidson was linked to actor Cazzie David.

On May 10, Ariana announced that she and Miller had ended their two-year relationship and was spotted spending time with Davidson just a few days later. Within a week, Davidson revealed that he and David had split.

By the end of the same month, fans had noticed that the new couple had seemed to have got matching cloud tattoos. On June 15, they confirmed earlier reports that they were engaged.

Since, Davidson has described being engaged to Ariana as “f***ing lit,” while the “No Tears Left To Cry” hitmaker has unveiled to the world that she thinks her current partner is her soulmate in Sweetener single named after him, “Pete Davidson.”
