Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones got an epic surprise from RuPaul and her reaction was everything

Ghostbusters star and RuPaul’s Drag Race superfan Leslie Jones definitely could not deal after getting a brilliant surprise from the mother of drag.

Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones has made no secret of her love of the reality show, frequently referencing it on Twitter and interacting with her favourite queens.

The comic was appearing on Access Hollywood this week when she received a special surprise – a video message from RuPaul herself.

The drag icon extended an invite to Jones to be a guest judge on the show’s upcoming Season 11.

RuPaul said: “Leslie girl, you gotta get up on this show. We waiting for you, we got your seat ready henny.

“You better get up on Drag Race.

“I love what you’re doing on social baby, I know you watching all the shows!

“Come on and see us right now girl, Leslie Jones on the Drag Race.”

While other superfans might have been lost for words, Jones appeared full of them.

She screamed: “Oh my God! Oh my God! You don’t understand… y’all got to send me that clip! Oh my God, that was RuPaul!

“Did you see how pretty she was? Oh my God! Did you see how beautiful she was? Look how beautiful she is!

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaah, RuPaul!”

Asked if she would be taking up the invite to be a guest judge, Jones said: “Oh my god, yes. Me and RuPaul are supposed to be together.”

Jones went viral earlier this year after she helped Adam Rippon try out semi-professional sports commentary.

The pair teamed up at the Winter Olympics in South Korea to try and commentate on the ice skating, but both seemed to have other things on their minds.

Season 11 of Drag Race is set to air in 2019.

A premiere date has not been announced, but given the show’s annual release schedule it’s likely the new season will be hitting screens in March 2019.

RuPaul also confirmed that there is also a fourth season of spin-off show Drag Race All Stars on the way.

Speaking on podcast What’s The T?, RuPaul and judge Michelle Visage recalled an incident where the host went “crazy” on-set.

RuPaul said: “I go friggin’ crazy. I was jacked on java and there was no stopping me.

“We won’t tell them which episode because we don’t want to give away…see if they can figure it out.

“This is for All Stars, and everyone knows that we’re doing All Stars. We’re not giving anything away. Let them guess which episode I go friggin’ crazy on.”

Visage said: “You’ll see the episode where he had 16 shots of espresso.

“I’ve known Ru for 30 years. I just sat there and let her have her fun. Screaming at the top of her lungs!

“You know those girls were up there shittin’ their pants. They did not know what the fuck.”
