Cher just released a teaser of her ABBA album, and it’s amazing

Cher has unveiled a sneak peek at her album of ABBA songs – and fans have gone wild.

Fresh off of her fantastic appearance in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Cher revealed last month that she would be releasing a collection of covers of the Swedish pop legends.

She then announced that the album would be dropping in September and would feature “Waterloo,” “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!,” “Dancing Queen,” “Chiquitita,” “Name of the Game,” “Mamma Mia,” “One of Us,” “The Winner Takes It All” and “SOS,” as well as one last mystery track.

Speaking about the album – which will be Cher’s first full release since 2013’s Closer to the Truth – she said: “It’s not what you think of when you think ABBA, ’cause I did it in a different way.”

And she has now revealed a brief teaser of what this new sound will be like, releasing a 40-second clip of “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” on Twitter below the message: ” time.”

The star also opened up about the album, revealing the deep connection she feels to many of the tracks.

Writing to fans, she said: “Each Song is its own special Entity. Waterloo is Homage to Benny & Bjorn…Many Of Them Are my version of their dreams.


“If you Listen to Fernando you know it’s theirs. Benny & Mark Did track. Waterloo, Mamma Mia Are Just FUN..One Of Us Is .

“Chuiqitita….Ahh. Name of Game ❄️,” she added, enigmatically.

Fans were thrilled with the surprise treat, with one writing: “CAN YOU AT LEAST WARN US BEFORE YOU BLAST OUR WIGS INTO THE NEXT GALAXY LIKE THAT.”

Another said: “This is giving me life right now! @cher 40 seconds of bliss and leaving me needing more! ‍♂️✨”

“I’m NOT okay! I feel like I just jumped out of my own body in excitement,” wrote one fan.

Another said: “I can’t breathe ✨✨✨✨✨,” giving voice to a popular feeling among her followers.

“Cher, you really are amazing ❤ just this little tease sounds AMAZING YOU ARE ALWAYS AND WILL BE THE MOST FAMOUS FEMALE VOCALIST IN THE . I adore you,” said another.

It was announced earlier this year that all four members of ABBA – Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – have reunited to record two new songs.
