Man shatters lesbian’s car window because she rejected his advances

Lydia Smith August 3, 2018

CCTV footage has captured the moment a man jumped on a woman’s car and smashed her windscreen because she refused his advances.

Bailey Cantrell was at a petrol station in Nashville, Tennessee, when the man approached her.

“My friend had gone into the gas station to get something and I was waiting outside, and this man approached me and was asking for my phone number and was calling me all these names,” she told local station Wave3 News.

“After I declined, still a little bit mad, then the second I declined the third time and said ‘I’m gay, I’m just not interested,’ that’s when it triggered him and he got very aggressive,” Cantrell said.

In footage taken by a security camera, the man can be seen suddenly jumping onto Cantrell’s car and kicking in her windscreen.

Panicking, she reverses her car but the man follows and begins kicking the car windows.

Cantrell then gets out of her car and is attacked by the man.

“The only thing I was thinking while this was going on is he might have a weapon, he might have a knife, a gun, I don’t know. So pretty much just flailing every limb to get out of his grip,” she said.

She wasn’t able to drive away as she couldn’t see out of her smashed windscreen.

“I only reversed to try to knock him over and make him fall but that didn’t work,” Cantrell said.

“When I got out, I was getting out to grab my phone and call 911 and also, there was glass in my eye from where all that glass hit us. So that was uncomfortable and I just felt like I needed to get out of the car,” she said.

“Since he did this and got away with it, he had no repercussions. He’s going to think, ‘If a girl rejects me, I can do this to her. I didn’t get caught last time,’” she said.

This week, a 15-year-old lesbian was brutally attacked by a group who beat her and tore off her clothes while hurling anti-gay slurs at her.

Amari Graves was walking to a shop in Austin, Chicago when she was ambushed by a gang including a girl from her school and several adults, who used mace and a baseball bat to terrorise her.

Graves said told NBC 5: “They all got out and walked up to me.

Speaking about one of her assailants, she said: “When I was walking she tried to pull a bat out and swing it at me.

“They were calling me ‘a dyke’ and ‘a stud’ and stuff.”
