This photoshop of Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton getting married has gone viral

We all love a royal wedding.

Whether it’s the news that the Queen’s cousin Lord Ivar Mountbatten will wed his long-term partner James Coyle this summer or
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s beautiful ceremony at Windsor Castle, it’s hard to resist their charms.

You’d be forgiven for dreaming of a lesbian royal wedding, though, because just imagine how wonderful it would be.

Well, imagine no more, because an absolute genius has photoshopped Markle tying the knot with Kate Middleton, and the result is two gorgeous images of love and joy.

The pictures, posted by Twitter user spidertxm with the message “hi i photoshopped meghan markle and kate middleton getting married haha THATS GAY,” has attracted more than 10,000 retweets and likes.

In the first photo, the Duchess of Sussex confidently leads the Duchess of Cambridge through a canopy of roses, before the second image sees the fictional newlyweds kiss.

The post has led to an outpouring of happiness and gratefulness, to which the creator has responded: “No problem, just doing the lord’s work!”

Fair enough.

One person wrote, correctly: “the royals work hard, but gay twitter works harder.”

In a similar vein, another person said: “The straights might work hard but you work harder and we appreciate it.”

One fan said: “This is everything I didn’t know I needed.”

Another person responded to the photos by writing: “wedding gowns: they wear that. lesbians: they are that. my heart: they stole that.”

“A masterpiece! 20GayTeen should have started this way ❤️ ‍♀️,” wrote one person we empathise strongly with.

And another fan said: “I like it, I ship it. Your photoshopping skills are from another lever wow i stan so hard .”

One person wrote: “This cleared my skin thanks for this gay content.”

Markle and her new husband made their support for LGBT rights clear in the build-up to their wedding by meeting with young LGBT activists from across the Commonwealth.

The humanitarian and gender equality activist was reportedly supportive of the activists’ goals, explaining that “she said that it’s just about basic rights. That’s it, simply. That’s all it is.”
