Lesbian couple allegedly stabbed men, who sexually harassed them

Ella Braidwood July 18, 2018

Police have said that two women, who are believed to be romantically linked, are suspected of stabbing three men in Morgan Hill, California.

The incident took place on July 7 when the three men allegedly sexually harassed the lesbian couple in The Hill Bar & Grill,  reports television station KSBW.

The two women reportedly told police that the men had been “touching, groping and flirting with them.”

The men allegedly followed the women when they left the restaurant and walked down the street to M&H Tavern.

After the bar closed, the women encountered the men in a back alley when an argument broke out.

The women then allegedly stabbed the three men, including in the groin, back, shoulder, and arms.

Morgan Hill Police Department posted a statement on Facebook, naming the suspects as 22-year old Tori Sanchez of Freedom, California, and 23-year old Alexandria Campos of Morgan Hill, California.

“I don’t know what the cause of the argument was that initiated this violent attack, but something certainly turned from friendly to hostile,” Morgan Hill police sergeant Troy Hoefling told KSBW.

“The three victims were stabbed at different times. Each of the victims tried to intervene and separate parties that were involved in an argument.”

Morgan Hill Police Department said that the three men were admitted to hospital with their injuries, but are recovering from the attacks. One man has been released following treatment.

The force also said that “a bloody knife was located and recovered from one of the women.”

It added that both women were arrested and “booked into” Santa Clara County Main Jail on three counts of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

According to KSBW, the pair will appear in court on July 20.

Elsewhere in California, the vice mayor of Dixon has ignored calls to resign from his post and apologise, after he proclaimed July as “Straight Pride American Month” in a newspaper column.

Ted Hickman declared July as a month to celebrate heterosexuals in a bizarre article on his personal blog, which was also published in local paper Independent Voice.

His piece outraged many, prompting a recall effort – a procedure when elected officials can be removed from office following a vote – with the creation of a “Recall Ted Hickman” Facebook page, which currently has more than 1,800 ‘likes.’
