One of the new songs, “I Still Have Faith in You”, will be heard for the first time in a TV special in December.

The band said: “We all felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio.

“So we did. And it was like time had stood still and we had only been away on a short holiday.

“It resulted in two new songs and one of them I Still Have Faith In You will be performed by our digital selves in a TV special produced by NBC and the BBC aimed for broadcasting in December.

“We may have come of age, but the song is new. And it feels good.”

During their eleven-year career, the group sold almost 400 million singles and albums around the world.

“Dancing Queen” and “Fernando” are their biggest-selling songs worldwide.

The band decided to call it quits in 1983.

They had a tumultuous time personally while they were an active group.

Both Agnetha and Bjorn and Anni-Frid and Benny married and divorced each other during the lifespan of the group’s success.
