Did Britney just release her first gender-neutral perfume?

Britney Spears has released a new fragrance, with many fans speculating that this could be the popstar’s first gender-neutral perfume.

Spears posted a saucy video on Twitter – with her slaying it in a leather outfit – advertising the release of her latest fragrance line, called “Prerogative.”

She captioned the post: “A fragrance for all.”

The post has led some fans to believe that the new perfume is gender-neutral.

One Twitter user wrote: “Queen of destroying the gender binary.”

Another said: “Yas @britneyspears coming out with a gender neutral fragrance! For EVERYONE!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE [sic].”

Spears has released more than 20 perfumes. Her first, “Curious,” made its way onto shelves in 2004.

The popstar is a longstanding ally of the LGBT+ community, and has a huge queer fanbase.

Spears is headlining Brighton Pride in August. The ticketing website for the event has crashed twice since the announcement of Spears as headliner, with fans desperately trying to get tickets.

In April, she received the Vanguard Award at the 29th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. The award is given to a person, who has “made a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance of LGBTQ people.”

The pair had previously tweeted their adoration for each other during the Winter Olympics.

Britney wrote: “Hey @Adaripp… I just wanted let you know that I am a fan, I am not in denial, and that you are THE MOST FUN!! Keep making us all smile at the #WinterOlympics and good luck today ✨⛸.”

The Team USA ice skater responded: “I could feel you on the ice with me @britneyspears.

“I now have an OVERWHELMING desire to post Instagram fashion shows, google stock imagines of corn, and paint on the balcony of my dorm in the Olympic village. Thank you for not being in denial, LOVE YOU.”
