PinkNews Awards 2018: Nominees for corporate role model announced in Westminster

The nominees for the PinkNews corporate role model award were tonight (July 4) announced at the PinkNews summer reception in Westminster supported by lead partner Zurich and supporting partner Natwest.

The event –  in support of Just Like Us – saw MPs and campaigners from across the political spectrum gather at Speaker’s House to celebrate the achievements of the LGBT+ community and to highlight what work is still left to be done.

Attendees heard from Home Secretary, Sajid Javid; Shadow Home Secretary, Diane Abbott; the Lord Speaker, Norman Fowler; Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow; and Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Vince Cable.

The London event marked the final date in a succession of receptions held by PinkNews in each UK parliament.

PinkNews received an unprecedented number of applications for the new award. A panel of judges will be drafted in to pick a winner from the shortlist. The award will be announced at the PinkNews Awards on October 17, 2018.
