Watch Aquaria finding out she’s won RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10

Footage has been release of the moment Aquaria find out she’s won RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10.

The 22-year old queen was crowned this year’s drag superstar in the grand finale, which was broadcast last week.

But, as in previous series, Aquaria didn’t find out she’d won the show until it was actually broadcast.

To do this, the producers film each of the finalists as if they had won the the show, including them making their own speeches.

American cable network VH1 has now released a video showing Aquaria watching the finale with fellow contestants Eureka, Asia, and Kameron – and her reaction when she finds out she’s won. Watch the video below.

The emotional video is predictably full of tears, and also shows the other finalists congratulating Aquaria on her win.

“This whole season started a little bumpy for me, but I knew things would get better, and I’m just so grateful for the people who stuck with it,” Aquaria says at the end of the video.

The four finalists lip-synced for their lives during the grand finale on Thursday, but it was Aquaria who came out on top. Read the PinkNews round-up here.

The last episode of the season saw the four queens lip-sync battle until the very end. In the first round Asia O’Hara faced off with Kameron Michaels, and in the second, it was Eureka versus Aquaria.

The final round was a surprise three-way contest between Eureka, Aquaria and Kameron Michaels.

There were plenty of guest surprises in the finale with video messages from Oprah Winfrey, Dame Judi Dench and Finty Williams.

She said: “Here in the House of RuPaul, everybody is welcome. There ain’t no walls here to divide us. There’s only love.

“Now, let’s say it loud enough that they can hear us in Washington DC. Everybody say love!”

RuPaul then quipped: “Now drive that down Pennsylvania Avenue and get your ass outta here!”

The full line-up of queens for season 10 was: Asia O’Hara, Aquaria, Blair St. Clair, Dusty Ray Bottoms, Kalorie Kardashian-Williams, Kameron Michaels, Mayhem Miller, Miz Cracker, Monet X-Change, Monique Heart, The Vixen, Vanessa Mateo, Yuhua Hamasaki and Eureka.
