It has been announced this week that Amazon Music will provide the soundtrack for London Pride 2018 as the event’s official music partner.

This follows Amazon Music’s inaugural sponsorship last year that featured a 50-track playlist of LGBT+ anthems such as Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)”, Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family”, and George Michael’s “Freedom! ’90”.

For 2018 London Pride events, Amazon Music has created twelve different playlists that represent the LGBT+ community, including “Boys like Boys” and “Girls Like Girls”, as well as more broad selections like “Official Pride in London” and era-specific playlists such as “Coming out in the 70s”.

This year’s playlists include songs by mainstream LGBT+ music artists Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga, Frank Ocean, and Tegan and Sara.

To listen, Prime Music and Amazon Music Unlimited customers can search a playlist name in Amazon Music. Subscribers with Alexa enabled devices can ask Alexa to start playing specific playlists by saying, “Alexa, play the Boys Like Boys playlist” or “Alexa, play the Official Pride in London playlist.”

Amazon Music with further support London Pride events by having a float and the largest walking group in the July 7 parade, with the soundtrack being provided by a DJ from the Amazon Music programming team.

Also on July 7 will be a pop-up experiential space in Trafalgar Square where Amazon Music will host silent discos. The music for the event will include the “Official Pride in London” and “London After-Party” Amazon Music playlists.

This year’s winners of Pride’s Got Talent, an Amazon Music sponsored talent show open to anyone and judged by members of the LGBT+ community, will also be performing in Trafalgar Square.
