Ivanka Trump ‘donated’ $50,000 to an anti-LGBT mega church
Ivanka Trump appears to have donated $50,000 to a church in Texas which labels being LGBTQ as “Seuxal Identity Confusion.”
Last week the President’s daughter was praised after CBN News reported that she gave the money to the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, in support of its work helping immigrant children.
An anonymous ‘Evangelical leader’ told the Christian news site that Trump decided to donate the money after seeing a post from the church on Twitter.
The lead pastor, Jack Graham, tweeted on Tuesday: “We @Prestonwood are currently working to provide solutions to care for children during this terrible immigration crisis. Our Espanol ministry led by Gilberto Corredera is stepping up to the challenge to express the love of Jesus. We are broken-hearted and determined to act. [sic]”
But after the news of the reported donation spread, the church’s shocking anti-lgbt views were discovered.
The Baptist church has an entire section of its website dedicated to ‘Homelife’ which leads with a paragraph on ‘Sexual Identity Confusion’.
“Our generation is experiencing an increased level of confusion with regard to sexual identity. When addressing same-sex attraction, gender identity concerns, or a transgender disposition, we must approach such struggles with several foundational understandings,” the section of the website reads.
Under the same part of the website another section is called ‘The Redemptive Approach’, which isn’t explicit, but it appears to suggest ways in which people can take part in gay conversion.

It reads “those with a political agenda label those who affirm God’s design for human seuxality ‘bigots’ or homophobic’”.
The website adds: “The journey to wholeness may be a difficult, long process. Seek wisdom from those who have been where you are. Let them help you discover the joy and health that comes from pursuing God’s loving, beautiful design for human sexuality.”
The church’s pastor Jack Graham has also tweeted anti-lgbt statements, including that parents should homeschool their children if they are being taught about LGBTQ terminology.

In one of his tweets Graham also hit out at the transgender community, “Transgenderism will continue to be an issue in the US as it is increasingly in Western Europe. Sexual identity must be addressed in the pulpit and our churches,” he wrote.
