Here we GLOW again! Watch trailer for Season 2 of Netflix’s hit wrestling comedy

Netflix has released a new trailer for GLOW season 2, which will be dropped on June 29.

The new trailer for the 1980s comedy drama hints that the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling will address issues such as racism and sexual harassment in this season – and also sees the show-within-a-show being threatened with cancellation.

There’s also plenty more love wrestling, love (and divorce), and in-fighting – all to the soundtrack of Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero.”

And, although the show is threatened with cancellation, it looks like the group won’t be giving up without a fight.

“I say we do whatever the hell we want to do,” Sam (Marc Maron) says in the trailer when he finds out the show could be cancelled. “Set the weirdos free and see what happens.”

Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin) look set to continue working on the issues at the heart of their volatile friendship, too.

The second season will see GLOW returning for 10 more episodes later this month.

The first season of GLOW was released in June last year.

The comedy drama presents a fictionalised version of the real-life GLOW wrestling promotion. It’s set in Los Angeles.

The makers of the Netflix show Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch were inspired to make GLOW after watching a 2012 documentary about the wrestling promotion.

GLOW also stars Sydelle Noel as Cherry “Junkchain” Bang, Britney Young as Carmen “Machu Picchu” Wade and singer-songwriter Kate Nash as Rhonda “Britannica” Richardson.

Also returning to Netflix screens later this month is the second season of Queer Eye. Watch the trailer here.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the Fab Five would makeover a trans man for the first time.

Queer Eye creator David Collins had previously hinted that the show – which changed its name from the original Queer Eye for the Straight Guy – would live up to its more inclusive name in Season 2 with a range of diverse participants.

In March he said: “The cool part about it is our episodic heroes continue to be diverse and very interesting. The storylines continue to break down those conversations and surprise you.

“We get to see a lot of those new perspectives.”
