Pink is here to Make America Gay Again

P!nk has thrown two fingers up at the Trump administration.

The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer shared a snap on social media of herself in a Make America Gay Again baseball cap – parodying the President’s infamous ‘MAGA’ hats.

The hats are sold by the Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT rights advocacy organisation that has worked to resist much of the Trump agenda on equality.

The singer, who has previously opened up about raising her kids gender neutral, has made no secret of her anger towards the Trump administration.

In a December 2017 interview she said: “The world the way it is now is dicey, dicey. It’s crazy times.

“Every morning I wake up, throw my hands up in the air and I’m like, ‘F**king unbelievable, this is unbelievable.’

“What’s my reaction to Trump? Simply f**king unbelievable.

“There is no good stuff with him, no good stuff at all. There’s zero there. I just want this part over so we can get to the clean-up operation.”

The singer famously penned 2006 track “Dear Mr President” as a protest against then-President George W Bush.

The track lashed out at many of Bush’s stances including on LGBT rights, including the line: “What kind of father would take his own daughter’s rights away? What kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay?”

However she doesn’t have any immediately plans to rework the song for Trump.

Asked about the song, P!nk said: “There aren’t words for this shameful person.”

The singer, real name Alecia Beth Moore, recently opened up about her decision to raise her kids gender neutral.

She said: “We are a very label-less household.

“Last week [daughter] Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman. I was like: ‘Great, can you teach me how to make African food?’

“And she’s like: ‘Sure Mama, and we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.’

“I was in school and the bathroom outside the kindergarten said: ‘Gender Neutral — anybody’, and it was a drawing of many different shapes.

“I took a picture of it and I wrote: ‘Progress’. I thought that was awesome. I love that kids are having this conversation.”

Natalie Portman recently donned a ‘Make America Gay Again’ hat for a Women’s March in DC.

The hats have also featured on gay sitcom Will & Grace, which has also taken plenty of swipes at the Trump administration.
