RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Robbie Turner claims she was caught up in an alleged drink driving car crash that killed an Uber driver.

Turner, real name Jeremy Baird, was taking an Uber home on the night of April 14 when the car was hit by an apparently drunk driver.

The Uber driver was killed in the collision, she claims.

Turner lost consciousness following the crash, but miraculously survived, coming round the next morning with little more than aches and pains.

The Seattle born drag star – who said she’s “the nicest queen you’ll ever meet” – has warned fans of the dangers of drink driving following the incident.

She wrote on Twitter: “I’m home with barely a scratch, but when I was informed of what actually happened, my closest family and friends came to mind,” Robbie tweeted. “Wear a seatbelt. I did.”

“They ran tests at the hospital, but outside of my shoulder feeling jammed & my right eye hurting, I only have a bruise,” Robbie said in another tweet. “Grateful.”

However some have questioned whether the crash really happened.

Seattle Gay Scene says it has been unable to find any corroborating evidence.

A spokesperson from the Seattle Police Department told them: “I am not aware of anything like that occurring, nor are any of my colleagues aware of this accident.”

They were also told by a representative from Uber that none of their drivers had been involved in a drunk driving accident.
