It appears that Adele has put her vocal chords to the test recently as she was tasked with the responsibility of marrying Alan Carr to his long-term partner.

The comedian, who married his partner of ten years Paul Drayton in January, revealed on The One Show that his best friend Adele had offered to marry the pair – in the back garden of her Los Angeles home.

Speaking on the programme, Alan said that Adele is “the kindest, most sweetest, loveliest person ever,” and got ordained in order to perform the ceremony.

“She’s known me and Paul for ages, and she said, ‘I want to do your special day. Let me do everything.’

“So she did everything, and she got ordained, and she married us. She is the kindest, most sweetest, loveliest person ever.”

Carr revealed that the star also performed their first dance – but kept his lips sealed over the song choice.

She also organised the flowers and meal for the ceremony, making “the best day of my life”, he added.

After the comedian revealed the news, Adele posted a picture to Instagram of herself wearing a white dress and a cross.

Posing in front of a bed of roses, the singer also used the caption to voice her support for same-sex marriage.

“You know me any excuse to dress up… @chattyman #LoveisLove,” she wrote.

Alan and party planner Paul revealed that they had tied the knot in January, but didn’t provide any details regarding their superstar ordainer.

All that was disclosed was that they had joined in a “small, private ceremony”.

The comedian also shared that Adele flew the couple to Las Vegas to watch Celine Dion.

Alan and Paul have been a couple for more than a decade.

His publicist said they were “planning a big celebration with all their family and friends” in the UK this summer, adding “they are both extremely happy”, reported The BBC.
