Gays for Trump founder reveals his gay porn star past and hits out at trans soldiers

Gays for Trump founder Peter Boykin flashes a far-right hand signal

The founder of Gays for Trump who is running for office has opened up about his past as a porn performer and hit out once again at transgender people serving in the army.

Peter Boykin announced his campaign to run for the District 58 seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives last month.

Boykin is best known for founding Gays for Trump and for his regular online radio show, MAGAOne.

According to his website, Boykin’s political stances include “MAGA for everyone” and supporting religious freedom.

In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Boykin reaffirmed his support for the ban on transgender people serving in the military, calling gender confirmation surgery ‘elective.’

He said: “As long as there are troops and veterans out there who are not getting the care that they should… I couldn’t care less about transgender [people] getting an elective surgery.”

He then defended President Trump’s position on trans people, defending him against accusations of transphobia by saying he was friends with Caitlyn Jenner.

“It’s a business move, not a transphobic move,” Boykin said.

“This is a president that is probably still friends with Caitlyn Jenner.”

Caitlyn Jenner recently hit out at President Trump, attacking his transgender troop ban in front of many of the President’s allies.

According to The Daily Beast, Boykin previously worked as a performer on the now deactivated porn site ‘Pete’s Young and Wild Adventures in a Gay Wonderland.’

The site claims that as a 23-year-old, the Gays for Trump founder would masturbate for patrons of the ‘Men with Cams Voyeur Club’, which at the time cost $29.95 a month.

The Daily Beast also stated that Boykin sold autographed underwear, according to the web archives of the former site.

Responding to these claims Boykin said: “This is not something I would do today.

“If people are going to hold on to something I did from 20 years ago, so be it. But really, people change.”

He added: “It’s part of a lot of people’s past. A lot of good people.

“It was just a personal webcam. I was not a porn star or porn actor. It was a protected site; part of a network of sites and people paid a membership to access the sites.

“If they purchased through my website I got a signup fee. I didn’t have a brand. I was just a guy with a webcam.”

Trump has attacked LGBT rights in a variety of ways since his inauguration in 2017, prompting many people to criticise Gays for Trump for supporting the President.

As well as attempting to ban transgender people from serving in the military, Trump and his administration have removed protections for trans people.

Recently, Trump created Religious Freedom Day, in a presidential proclamation issued last month that constituted a clear assault on LGBT rights.

He made the decision after breaking with Barack Obama’s eight-year tradition of issuing annual proclamations recognising June as LGBT Pride Month.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration told the Supreme Court that it should be acceptable for businesses to put up signs denying service to same-sex couples.

Despite these policies, Boykin was firm on his support for Trump, insisting that the President was ‘for all Americans.’

He said: “He is not against the gays at all. He is for all Americans and protecting all Americans.

“Donald Trump has always been pro-LGBT. He owned pageants, hotels, he works with gay people.

“In order for us to be properly represented on both sides we need gay people on all sides. You shouldn’t be able to figure out [someone’s] political stance because they happen to be gay.”
