Meet the 83-year-old who’s finally getting his big break in gay adult films

This 83-year-old has waited a lifetime, but he’s finally getting to show off his talents in gay porn.
Norm will star in Blessing of the Elder, which will see the octogenarian masturbate alongside porn stars Blake Mitchell and Joey Mills.
The video will feature on YouTuber Davey Wavey’s new gay adult film site Himeros, which launched in December.

In an accompanying video shot by Davey, Norm tells viewers that his sexual experiences were historically tied up in guilt, which came from his religious upbringing.
Norm, who calls himself an advanced Tantrica, minister of erotic education and sacred intimate – that is, someone who helps people find more connection and pleasure with their bodies – came out late in life.
“First time I ever masturbated was when I was about 12,” he recalled.

“I was a religious kid, a good kid. I remember that when I masturbated, it was like, ‘Oh my god! The doors of heaven opened up.
“And then all of a sudden, wham! The gates of hell opened up.
“And I thought: ‘How will I ever get over this?’ and I prayed, saying: ‘I won’t ever do that again.'”
But, he said, this vow did not last long.
“And a few days later, as you might guess, I thought: ‘Well, I can only pray so many times’.”

And he added, laughing, that “if you do something thinking ‘I can pray and get it over with’ after something’s done – well, it doesn’t count.”
Davey hoped that both films would help to tackle stereotypes surrounding older people and sexuality.
Speaking to PinkNews, he said: “Despite all their contributions to our movement, LGBT elders are often an invisible population – and this video is a reminder that sexuality isn’t something that disappears with age.
“Let’s celebrate our sexuality at every stage of life.”
“I understand that most people aren’t accustomed to seeing an 83-year-old in an erotic film,” he added in a statement.
“Most of us aren’t accustomed to thinking about our elders in a sexual context at all. It’s why people laugh at Betty White’s comedy.
“If she were 20 or 30, her sex jokes wouldn’t work in the same way; the humour is only funny coming from the mouth of a 96-year-old.

“The implication is that seniors don’t think about sex, aren’t sexy and surely aren’t having sex.
“Of course,” he continued, “none of that is true.”
“Seniors, just like everyone else, think about sex. In fact, some of the horniest people I know are elders.
“And I can promise you that they are having sex. In some instances, wonderful, mind-blowing sex from which the rest of us could learn.
“And even though our culture places an emphasis on smooth skin and youth, our elders are valuable human beings with tremendous gifts including wisdom, experience and yes, beauty.”
