Coca-Cola’s amazing Super Bowl ad features a lesbian couple and a non-binary person

A new advert from Coca-Cola features a lesbian couple and a non-binary person.

The heartwarming ad, which will air on Sunday during the Super Bowl, is one of acceptance and diversity.

Alongside the LGBT representation, it also includes a woman in a hijab, an interracial couple and – prominently – female friendship.

The voiceover, which switches between different people as the camera does too, tells viewers: “There’s a Coke for he – and she – and her – and me – and them.”

On the “and them,” the ad shows a person with a rainbow-coloured collar smiling at the camera.

Later on, the ad shows a woman in a car, while the voiceover says: “We all have different looks.”

And then – panning across to another woman in the driver’s seat – the voiceover says: “And loves.”

The Wonder of Us is scheduled to be shown to more than 100 million people during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles.

And the decision to use a diverse cast was deliberate, according to Coca-Cola.

The company’s creative VP in North America, Brynn Bardacke, told AdWeek: “For this particular message, it is a strategic choice for us.

“It’s such a big audience, and we want to celebrate the diversity of that audience.”

In 2014, Coca-Cola broke new ground by creating the first Super Bowl ad to feature same-sex parents.

Called “America the Beautiful,” it included two gay dads and their daughter.

And in March, the company released an ad in which a brother and sister fought each other to give the hunky pool man a coke.

Earlier this month, P!nk announced that she’s going to perform at the Super Bowl.

The pop star, whose new album Beautiful Trauma went straight to number one in the US, has long been an LGBT ally.

Justin Timberlake is set to headline the halftime show on February 4, but P!nk will kick off the multi-billion dollar event.

She will sing the national anthem in front of an expected audience of 60,000 people at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota.
