Celebrity Big Brother: Courtney Act left ‘gutted’ as Andrew Brady moves on to Ashley James

Celebrity Big Brother fans have criticised Apprentice star Andrew Brady for tactlessly telling Courtney Act about his crush on Ashley James.

After Ginuwine’s eviction on Tuesday night, Andrew Barnes was quick to mention his attraction to the rapper’s love interest and DJ Ashley James.

Speaking to Courtney after Ginuwine’s eviction, Andrew Brady quickly turned his attention towards Ashley.

He said: “Ashley is beautiful and I’ll tell Ashley she’s beautiful and I’ll mean it. If I think she needs a hug I’ll give her a hug.

“I like Ashley, I do, and I would smash that. I’m not going to obviously because I’m a nice guy, but I would smash that.”

Courtney looked stunned before she replied: “Wow.”

Courtney then called Andrew out on his apparent inconsistency and for not mentioning his attraction to the DJ before.

She said: “The whole time you would smash that from the get-go.

“You haven’t said that for 10 days or so and now you’re like let’s go.

“Ginuwine walked out the door about five minutes ago and all of a sudden you’ve decided you love Ashley now, tonight.”

Courtney continued: “This isn’t me being the jealous girlfriend. I support you and your seed sowing.”

Andrew then jokingly replied: “Thank you Courtney, I appreciate that.”

Courtney and Andrew have shared a close and highly flirty relationship during their time on Celebrity Big Brother.

Andrew has previously admitted to having a crush on Courtney, and their relationship has been noticed by other housemates and viewers alike.

During Wednesday’s episode, a slightly tipsy Wayne Sleep approached Courtney to ask her about Andrew’s sexuality.

Courtney said that whilst she did not think Andrew was gay, she did not know whether he may be bisexual.

She then admitted that she ‘wants his body’.

Wayne went on to say that he had noticed the love between the pair since Courtney put Andrew in drag in an early episode.

“The first moment of love between you two was when I saw sparkle on his cheek. I thought, it’s happened.”

Wayne later said: “Do you know why he loves you? Because he’s learning from you. Isn’t that lovely?”

“Whether it happens or it doesn’t-” before quickly being interrupted by Courtney.

“I don’t even care about that. I don’t care about that,” she said.

Celebrity Big Brother viewers took to Twitter en masse to send their sympathies for Courtney and criticise Andrew.

Some viewers said that Andrew had broken Courtney’s heart, with one fan calling her ‘gutted’.

Other viewers mentioned potential implications for nominations and evictions, with one viewer saying that Andrew may become the “most hated” on the show.

Despite this, bookmakers Ladbrokes slashed the price of Ann winning on Wednesday as the show enters the final 10 days.

She is now the 7/4 favourite to win – having been 50/1 on entering the house – putting her ahead of former favourite Courtney Act, known as Shane Jenek in the house, who is now 2/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “We’re not entirely sure why punters are continuing to back Ann after her latest controversy, but they are, and we have been forced to cut her odds accordingly.”
