Celebrity Big Brother was all about Ashley and Ginuwine and fans aren’t happy

CBB fans have been left frustrated after screen time of fan favourite Courtney Act and her flirtatious partner-in-crime Andrew was cut.

Monday night’s episode of the celebrity reality show focused heavily on the much-speculated relationship between rapper Ginuwine and reality star Ashley James.

This relationship, frequently referred to as a ‘showmance’ both in and outside of the house, has been off and on for the duration of the show.

Ashley, best known for her appearances on the E4 show ‘Made in Chelsea’, recently criticised Ginuwine’s attempts at flirting with her over the last few days.

Despite this, much of viewer’s attention has been focused on another pair,  the growing -and highly flirtatious- relationship between drag queen Courtney Act and straight Apprentice star Andrew Brady.

Andrew made headlines after kissing Courtney and admitting to a crush on the drag star.

Speaking in the Diary room on Saturday, Andrew said he found her attractive, confessing: “Courtney’s hot and Courtney’s a little bit of a minx.”

Monday’s episode declined to give the pair -known as Courtdrew on social media- any significant screen time.

Instead, the Channel 5 show focused more on the now-fixed relationship between Ashley and Ginuwine, and an adorable challenge involving a group of small children.

Many Celebrity Big Brother viewers took to Twitter to complain about the absence of their favourite bromance, saying they felt ‘deprived.’

Other fans directly called for more airtime for Andrew and Courtney, who is known as Shane J out of drag.

Discussing Ashley and Ginuwine’s argument and reconciliation on the show, Courtney Act dryly said: “Oh thank god. It was a rough twelve hours.”

This series of Celebrity Big Brother has not hidden away from controversy.

Former housemate and trans broadcaster India Willoughby claimed that she had been banned from the girls’ bedroom during her time on the show.

Appearing on Channel Five’s The Wright Stuff for her first interview since being voted out, India claimed Rachel and Ann Widdecombe made her feel like “the runt of the litter” by referring to her as ‘he’ and ‘him’.

In scenes she says were not aired on CBB, India claims the worst part of her stint was when housemates refused to let her sleep in the girls’ bedroom on the first night.

“Within an hour of going in the house, I was being misgendered left, right and centre. I started off politely pointing out why that was inappropriate,” she revealed.
