Piers Morgan asked Caitlyn Jenner about her penis, and it did not go well

Piers Morgan has questioned Caitlyn Jenner about her genitals – prompting an angry response from the star.

Jenner told off the Good Morning Britain presenter, who was interviewing her for his new Life Stories show.

The episode, which will air on ITV on Thursday, sees Morgan – a noted transphobe – subject Jenner to a barrage of inappropriate questions.

Among these were questions about her genitals.

“How does your physique compare now to what it did then?” Morgan asks, while holding a toy figure of Caitlyn when she was a gold medal-winning Olympian.

“Obviously,” he adds, pointing to the toy’s nether regions, “certain areas we know about…”

Jenner starts to answer, then stops to hand Morgan a well-deserved tongue-lashing.

“See, you made a comment there, and that’s why you would get in trouble,” she says.

“Okay? You just said: ‘Oh, certain areas’. Okay? That, to a trans person, is disrespectful.”

Morgan, surprised, responds: “Is it really? Why?”

“Because you don’t make a joke about that,” she tells him, trying to patiently explain the foundations of basic human decency to a 52-year-old who should know better.

“Why not?” Morgan responds, still not understanding.

“Because it’s not funny. It’s life.”

“Can’t life be funny?” Morgan says, sounding increasingly defensive.

“It’s part of my life, and a very serious part of my life,” she said, as if trying to teach a three-year-old why they shouldn’t bite the other children.

“Right, but can’t life be funny?” Morgan – a white, cisgender man – responds.

Once again, Jenner reiterates: “I take that very seriously, and so out of respect to myself and the community, it’s not something that you joke about.

“It’s something, as I said before – this is serious stuff, people die over these issues.

“It’s not a joke.”

She’s right, of course – more trans people died last year in the US than any other year on record.

Morgan replied: “It’s genuinely educational. It is. It is a complex issue.

“I would think I could make a flippant remark and you would laugh. You didn’t and I respect that.”

He didn’t seem to learn though, asking Jenner at another point in the show whether she considered herself to be entirely a woman.

“Well, pretty much biologically I am,” she responded.

“My journey to womanhood is different. It took me a long time to get here. Caitlyn has always been around in my life but she always lived inside.”

She told him that they had “a lot to talk about, because I think you represent a lot of people out there who don’t understand this issue and exactly what it is.”

Jenner added: “It is a terribly complicated issue, I didn’t even understand it for many, many years.”

The reality TV star has taken criticism for her political actions, especially when she wore the infamous Make America Great Again cap days after condemning President Donald Trump.

She was also publicly called “a f***ing fraud” to her face by Ashlee Marie Preston, who became the first trans magazine editor-in-chief last year.
