Restaurant uses pre and post transition Caitlyn Jenner photos as bathroom signs
A restaurant has come under fire after it used photos of transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner on bathroom doors.
Dodie’s Place Cajun Bar & Grill illustrated their male and female bathrooms with giant images of Caitlyn Jenner.
One shows the star representing the US in the 1976 Olympic Games pre-transition, while the latter is her Vanity Far cover shoot.
Dallas Morning News editor Dom DiFurio took to Twitter to share an image of the bathroom doors.
DiFurio told the Daily Dot that the restaurant isn’t “seated in a progressive area” and that he “wouldn’t consider it a particularly great place to be LGBTQ.”
According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, the bathroom images have been in place since August.
There were very mixed reactions to an image shared of the two doors.
One user wrote: “I hope Caitlyn comes and rips this place apart.”
Meanwhile one commenter, Michael Mann, said LGBT should be glad of the doors before adding: “To All “Sexual Deviants”, While It Is Your Right To Live Your Life As A Sexual Deviant, You Must Remember This, No Matter What You May Believe.
“There Are Only Two Genders In This World, Anything Else Is A Mental Problem, Yours, Not Mine! Deviant Sexual Behavior Is Still, Deviant Sexual Behavior!
“Homosexuality, Transgender, Pedophilia, Lesbianism, Gay, Whatever You Call It, It Is ALL Still The Same! It Is Deviant Sexual Behavior!”
Earlier this week it was revealed the I Am Cait star is rumoured to be dating a model four decades younger than her.
The 68-year-old’s has been romantically linked to model Sophia Hutchins, who is some 47 years younger than her.
Caitlyn and Sophia have been spotted together at Los Angeles International Airport heading off on what is believed to be their first holiday together to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Caitlyn posted a photo on holiday in Mexico with Sophia’s legs still in the photo.
