Adult film star goes on horrific transphobic rant about groundbreaking Playboy model

Playboy made history earlier this month by featuring its first ever trans playmate, Ines Rau. However, it seems some people were determined to spoil the celebrations.

Ines Rau was widely celebrated after featuring in the iconic magazine, something the French model said hoped would prove transgender people could be “sexy”.

“I wanted to do it because I wanted to show all the jocks and heterosexual Playboy readers that transgender people could be sexy and attractive and help them lose the preconceived notions they had about us,” she added.

Yet despite the largely positive reaction, some people in the industry weren’t happy – including former adult film star Jenna Jameson.

Taking to Twitter to vent her anger about the updated Playboy roster, she used a series of hand on head emojis.

Continuing the rant, she tried to justify her stane by saying she has a problem with ith “just like I have a problem with a transgender competing against biological women in sports.”

And the former star didn’t stop there, going on to challenge other users who disagreed with her.

Jameson even tried to deny the fact that the suicide rate amongst the trans community is elevated by acts of transphobia.

A study last year found that 40 percent of trans people had attempted suicide at some point.

The study leader commented: “Responses revealed pervasive mistreatment, harassment and violence in pretty much every facet of life whether that be in the schools, the workplace or family life.”

What’s more, research from Stonewall earlier this year found three in four trans school children had self-harmed.

“Fact check: false”, she wrote, after a Twitter user tried to call out her views.

Despite her lengthy rant though, Jameson insisted she’s not transphobic.

“Just because I don’t agree with a trans person being in Playboy doesn’t mean I’m ‘transphobic’,” she wrote. “People these days with their ‘phobics’.”

She went on to say how much she “loves my gay and trans peeps.” – despite having said trans people such have no place in the adult magazine.

Finally winding up the rant, she ended with this gem.

Offensive, transphobic, AND grammatically incorrect use of the word ‘trans’?

Wonderful.
