Cher will be in Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again
Cher will make her return to the big screen in the Mamma Mia! sequel.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will feature the Oscar-winning singer and actress in her first on-screen appearance since Burlesque in 2010.
Cher is currently in London rehearsing choreography sequences for the follow-up to the ABBA musical film, which netted more than $600 million at the box office globally.
The sequel to the 2008 smash hit is scheduled to come out in July next year, just days after the 10th anniversary of the first film’s release.
Rumours have abounded about who she might play in the musical sequel – and she’s even revealed what she’ll be singing.
Today, Cher tweeted: “Worked LATE LAST NIGHT. Make up/Hair test“CRAZY Then Mark’s 2 Re-Sing FERNANDO.
“Wasn’t Happy, Feel MUCH Better MY VERSION IS Me.”GREAT SONG“ ”
Fernando, one of ABBA’s most famous songs, is a sweeping love ballad.
When fans found out that their hero would be singing Fernando, they wanted to know more.
One asked about Cher’s character in the film.
In response, she said: “Her look IS AMAZING,Not Like ANYTHING I’ve Done,..&..She’s a Pistol ….. “.
Producers have not yet explicitly revealed which part the superstar will have.
But fans were extremely excited at the news that Cher will be returning to the silver screen.
They made their voices heard, too.

And the official Mamma Mia Twitter account rolled out the red carpet for its new star.
Others, meanwhile, were resigned to the fact that if Cher’s in a film, they’ve got to watch that film.
Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Dominic Cooper and Amanda Seyfried will be reprising their roles in the sequel.
Julie Walters, Stellan Skarsgård and Christine Baranski are also returning for the presumed hit of next summer.
They will be joined by Lily James, with the star of Baby Driver and Cinderella playing a younger version of Streep’s character.
The actors have been shooting in Croatia, according to the Mail Online, but will be uniting with Cher at London’s Shepperton Studios.
But the role which Cher will play, along with which ABBA songs she’ll sing, are closely guarded secrets.
The legendary gay icon, who won the 1988 Oscar for best actress for her performance in Moonstruck, is due for a busy 2018.
The show will include hits like I Got You Babe, Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves and The Shoop Shoop Song.

Fans will be delighted with this latest news after getting their hopes up when Cher was set to appear in the Lifetime TV movie about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan earlier this year.
However, due to a “serious” family issue, the star was not be able to make it to Toronto to begin filming.
21 years ago, she starred in another TV movie, “If These Walls Could Talk,” a role that earned her a Golden Globes nomination.
