Ellen Promised “nothing today”, as he sat calmly on the couch talking to her.
But when she asked him a question about how he used to work as a security guard he seemed to know what was going on.
He answered the question, talking about being a bouncer at gigs after he lied about his age in high school to get a job.
At one point Ellen may have given the game away as she appeared to signal that something was about to happen.
But Stonestreet was one step ahead.
While talking about his previous job, he suddenly got up and decided to walk behind Ellen… seemingly for no reason.
But lo and behold, Ellen did have a surprise for him.
When a man jumped out of a box beside the sofa to try and scare Stonestreet, he was ready.
He tackled him to the ground and held him until he tapped out.
And Ellen seemed concerned for the actor who jumped out, but Stonestreet seemed less concerned.
When she said she was worried about him, he said: “I don’t care!”
Adding: “Who’s laughing now, Punk?”
