RuPaul has hinted at a very special guest joining season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

The queen of drag had refused to be drawn on details of the show’s tenth season – but let slip one very big hint at the Emmys.

Speaking to TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, Mama Ru was asked whether future series could top the appearance of Lady Gaga on the last season’s opener.

More than a million people tuned in to see Lady Gaga join the queens – the show’s highest ever raitings.

Admitting that Gaga is almost the queen of pop, Ru said: “It is kinda tough to top her.”

However he then opened up about the next series line-up, revealing: “But I think we’ve done it. I really do.”

The remarks have fuelled speculation that Madonna will be appearing as a guest on the show.

Asked directly whether it was the queen of pop, Madonna, that would be shimmying into the set, Ru was giving nothing away.

“I can’t saaay,” the award-winner said, with a twinkle in his eye.

RuPaul went on to win his second Emmy that evening, named Outstanding Host of a Variety, Nonfiction Or Reality Programme for the second consecutive year.

The show also won Emmys for Outstanding Costumes, Picture Editing and Makeup For A Structured Or Competition Reality Programme.

Jamie Martin, the leader editor who accepted the award, said that they were proud to champion “positivity and acceptance”.

He added that they were honoured that they could “bring that message to a world that needs it more than ever”.

RuPaul’s Drag Race and Untucked were nominated for seven Creative Arts Emmys over all.

A new show about RuPaul is rumoured to be in the works.

The original show, titled ‘Queen’ will soon be coming to Hulu.

It will tell the story of RuPaul rising to fame on the 1980s New York City club circuit.
