Vogue magazine mixed up two famous drag queens and it made everybody cringe.
The Instagram for the magazine shared a picture of Season 9 queen Shea Couleé at NYC’s Drag Con.

However, the accompanying caption showed that the social team for Vogue clearly aren’t fans of Drag Race.
The caption quoted Season 8 winner Bob the Drag Queen.
The caption reads: “Drag queens have been on the forefront of every single social movement for queer people.”
The caption then goes on to quote Bob recounting a time he got on the train in full drag and everyone stared at him.
“I realised that meant that I had their attention. Having people’s attention is having power,” it added.
Readers and fans of Drag Race were quick to call out the mistake.
One person wrote: “How painful is it that you originally mistook Shea for Bob? Did someone get fired?”
“You can’t just have a picture of @sheacoulee and quote @bobthedragqueen …. *rolls eyes*,” another added.

A third said: “Love the photo but this is Shea Couleé, not Bob the Drag Queen. You got the wrong Black Queen… seems pretty careless. Probably want to fix that ASAP…. ”
The caption has since been updated to quote RuPaul and correctly identify Shea.
It reads: “Now more than ever, “with what is happening politically, what is happening socially, we are ambassadors for these young, gorgeous kids . . . the promise of America’s future,” @rupaulofficial said the morning of @rupaulsdragcon. “We are hope.” Tap the link in our bio for more from the weekend. @sheacoulee photographed by @charlieengman.”
