Anti-gay evangelical Ted Cruz was caught liking a bisexual adult film on Twitter, and people are disturbed

Homophobic Senator Ted Cruz is facing a tidal wave of mockery after he liked a tweet containing a bisexual adult film.

The family values-conscious politician seemingly approved of an adult film involving a “cheating mom” having sex with her stepdaughter and a man.

The former presidential candidate, who endorsed Donald Trump even after calling him “a pathological liar,” faced accusations of hypocrisy after the like went viral.

Cruz had the video – which lasts one minute and 21 seconds – appear in his likes on the sixteenth anniversary of 9/11.

The evangelical Christian, who has called same-sex marriage the “very definition of tyranny,” accidentally featured a lesbian adult star in a presidential campaign advert last year.

Cruz’s senior communications advisor Catherine Frazier‏ responded to the reaction this morning, writing: “The offensive tweet posted on @tedcruz account earlier has been removed by staff and reported to Twitter”.

But by then, it was too late to save the Texas Senator from embarrassment.

Especially because when he was Texas’s solicitor general, his legal team wrote a brief defending a ban on the sale of sex toys which quoted a line attacking masturbation.

It said that “there is no substantive-due-process right to stimulate one’s genitals for non-medical purposes unrelated to procreation or outside of an interpersonal relationship.”

Obviously – unlike Cruz – we all know that there’s nothing wrong with enjoying yourself, as long as you’re not hurting anyone else.

At least, that’s the line adult film site Pornhub took when it asked Cruz: “do you need a premium membership?? I know a guy”.

Pornhub added: “I found the full video @tedcruz but it’s Premium only. DM for user/password.”

Sexuall Posts, the account which tweeted the video, thanked the Republican politician for his approval.

“Thanks for watching ted!” it wrote.

And the account followed this up by changing its Twitter bio to contain the phrase: “Follow for the Same Porn @TedCruz Watches “.

Yeah, we’re grossed out too.

And we’re not the only ones.

Some found it wonderful that something – anything – has brought us together during such a difficult time.

Some were shocked to find out that Cruz has normal, human habits.

And others just found everything to do with the story completely ridiculous and hilarious.
