Cher is rumoured to be a part of new American Horror Story cast

Meka Beresford September 3, 2017

Cher has been rumoured to appear on the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Cult.

The show has been host to a whole slew of A-list celebs from Jessica Lange to Stevie Nicks and Lady Gaga and now it looks like the 71-year-old singer is going to join the ranks.

The cast of AHS: Cult posted a picture of themselves attending Cher’s Las Vegas show, sparking the rumours that she could play a part in the FX series.

The star has also hinted at a “fun surprise project” in the first week of September on Twitter.

Cult premieres at the same time as her “surprise project”.

She gave fans further hints of information when she wrote that she was working with “gorge man” on the project.

Some have speculated that this may be Colton Haynes, Cheyenne Jackson or Billy Eichner.

Some of the more obsessed fans have zoomed in on pictures of the chairs on set and think one might have Cher written on.

Moreover, the new season takes aim at the US since the presidential election, and Cher was a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton.

Even more, she is a fierce opposer of Donald Trump, and has called him an “assh*le” that would “put an end to any hope”.

Chaz Bono, Cher’s son, has also already been confirmed in a role in the new season meaning it could be a family affair.

American Horror Story: Cult premieres September 5 on FX.
