Apparently only 37 percent of women have tried anal

A new study has found that less than half of women have done anal.

Research published in the PLOS One journal, conducted by Indiana University Bloomington researchers, found that just 37 percent of women in the US have had taken part in anal sex.

The study asked if women had participated in anal, meaning receiving.

By comparison, the same study found that 43 percent of men had said they had tried anal, in terms of giving.

It was limited to women who receive anal and men who give it.

The research builds on a previous study which found that straight couples were much less likely to experiment with anal sex compared to queer people.

As well as looking at backdoor fun, the study also found that just 10 percent of women and 18 percent of men had been involved in a threesome.

Less than 8 percent said they had been to a sex party and 10.9 percent of women had had sex involving active stimulation of the feet.

Out of the study’s participants, the most appealing type of sex was vaginal, followed by oral and solo.

Kissing, cuddling, romance and pillow talk were also key factors in pleasurable sex for the study’s participants.

Earlier this year Teen Vogue online published a guide to doing anal, but despite being educational in content it proved to be very controversial.

But a tweet storm defending the guide went viral and people loved it.

A Christian mum later burned a copy of Teen Vogue magazine because it mentioned anal sex and homosexuality (even though it didn’t include the guide).

But a study showed just how vitally necessary the guide was, reporting that one in five 16-24 years olds said they had this type of intercourse in the past year – more than ever before.

It said lack of information was leading to young women experiencing “painful, risky and coercive” sex.
