Ellen DeGeneres has shared an emotional dedication to victims of the Texas hurricane and flooding.

The TV talk show host gave her support to those affected by Hurricane Harvey in a new video shared on Twitter.

The hurricane has seen many families’ homes ruined, particularly in Houston, America’s fourth largest city.

At least 10 people have been killed and many more injured after more than 30 inches of rain descending on parts of the state.

“The city of Houston has been the hardest.

“I know people want to help,” she says. “I would like to help.”

Ellen revealed that she has been so moved by the natural disaster that she is donating $50,000 of her own money to the Red Cross and charity SPCA in a bid to help victims.
