85-year-old James “Gypsy” Haake has previously appeared in videos for the musician, including the recently released “Younger Now” video.

In the video, which sees the singer imitate Elvis Presley, the 85-year-old gets to kiss Cyrus numerous times.

Talking to USA Today, Haake revealed that he will also get to kiss Cyrus during their performance.

He said of the show: “It’s absolutely mind-boggling what she’s done.

“Miley Cyrus’ fans will be very jealous of me because she gets to kiss me quite a few times.

“I don’t know if it will cure my social problems, but it’s sure going a long way toward it,” he quipped.

Haake was discovered in the 1980’s by Mel Brooks while performing in Hollywood.

Since then, he has appeared on TV and in films.

Despite his fame, he is incredibly excited for his performance with Cyrus which he said will be “wild”.

Haake added: “Wait ’til you see this on Sunday. Huge, huge dance number with her with all the seniors. She does kiss me. Okay?

“We’re talking about Miley Cyrus. Of course it gets wild.”

Cyrus recently came out as gender-neutral.

Speaking to Billboard, Cyrus said that they were “a gender-neutral, sexually fluid person”, they also previously identified as pansexual.

The Wrecking Ball singer explained that they do not feel either male or female: “I just feel like nothing.”

Last month, MTV announced that they were making the VMAs completely gender neutral.

After creating gender-neutral categories for its TV and Movie Awards, MTV has also dropped all gendered awards for its Video Music Awards show.

The Best Female and Best Male Video honours will be combined into one genderless Artist of the Year Moonperson trophy for the August event.

The award will see Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran compete against Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Lorde and Bruno Mars.
