There’s huge news about NBC’s new season of Will and Grace.

This week we reported that one beloved character won’t be returning to the show – leaving many fans disappointed about the highly anticipated return.

Now there’s much better news: with the announcement of a major public figure joining the cast.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is set to appear in the forthcoming series.

A source told InTouch: “Former first lady Michelle Obama will appear on the show.

“The details are still being worked out, but supposedly Michelle is up for anything, as long as it doesn’t cross the line too much.”

The iconic sitcom, which is credited with helping transform attitudes to gay people in America, is set to return to screens in November.

It has been a decade since Will and Grace stopped airing.

Showrunners recently announced that one beloved character won’t be coming back when the show returns.

Despite the main cast being reunited and having the time of their lives, Shelley Morrison, who played Karen Walker’s maid Rosario, won’t be returning.

The actress has retired since the last series was filmed, and did not want to return.

The cast began filming the new season a few weeks ago.
